All the kids were energetic this morning. Even Zoë was enthusiastically picking clothes by color: “pink!” “yellow!” Then “let’s go, daddy!”
According to Wii Fit, I’ve been dead for several years. (Ok, not really, but I do have some work to do.)

Heading back from SLO. Planning to stop in Salinas for food soon. I got a bit burnt yesterday and so did the boys. Too much fun swimming.

Arrived in SLO. So tired of being in a car. Fun weekend begins now!
Under attack from dust and wind. Google Maps thinks 90 miles to go.
Trying not to make fun of various drivers on 101 as we pass through Salinas, but I am pretty sure the driver of that truck was asleep.
Passing through Gilroy and kids already asking “are we there yet?” but I have their Nintendo DS so that line of questions stops now or else.

Just finished my first swim of the year.
Skating for lunch was fun, but not the best idea. Really tired and dehydrated now. More water, please.
Looking forward to a long weekend starting tomorrow.

I have no idea what I’m doing today, but I’m awake and ready to do it.
Relaxing morning with daughter at my side, coffee in hand, general feeling of calm and peace. So of course, I want to go see Iron Man later.
